In this layered, weathered composition, time is not shown as a line but as a vertical presence. Three stacked circular forms anchor the center of the painting, acting like markers of repeated “now” moments compressed, held, and suspended. Around them, scraped greys, muted browns, and faded pinks create an atmosphere of erosion, as if memory and experience have been worn down to their emotional residue. Dark, shifting masses gather on either side of the central axis, suggesting unnamed pressures that surround and shape the present moment. Rather than depicting a specific event, the work focuses on what remains after impact the psychological space where past and future dissolve, leaving only the weight of the immediate. Created before my later "PortalHeads" and "SelfPortraits" series, this painting marks the beginning of an important transition: the surface becomes a site of inner experience, and abstract space begins to carry emotional and existential meaning.
