The first what is striking in this painting it it speaks through touch. The thick, almost sculptural impasto feels like layers of memory or experience pressed into the canvas I am not painting on the surface, I am painting into it. This gives the whole piece a sense of depth and physical weight, like something buried trying to emerge. This dynamic between movement and structure mirrors the theme implied by the title stars, constellations, cosmic order vs. cosmic randomness.
