SelfPortrait III (Paper)

Self Portraits / Erosion

SelfPortrait III (Paper)

Year: 2026
Medium: Mixed media on Handcrafted paper
Dimensions: 42 x 56 cm
Location: Oliva, Valencia, Spain

The third work of the triptych is the most haunting and eroded. The face seems to break apart under a veil of white texture, corrosion, and stain, while warmer surrounding tones keep the work from collapsing entirely into darkness. It carries a strong sense of memory, transformation, and gradual disappearance. The result is a portrait that feels less like a fixed identity than a state of becoming and undoing.
