"Selfportrait I" presents the figure as a wounded guardian. The face is marked by intrusion and suppression: a pierced crown, a crushed earring, a masked mouth. Violence is still active here. The figure absorbs impact but does not collapse. This is the stage of endurance - identity under direct attack. The SelfPortraits series is not an exploration of likeness, but of psychological survival. Across three large-scale works, the face becomes a site where identity is pressured, fractured, and ultimately sealed off.
