Defining Moment II (Right Panel)

Year: 2026
Medium: Oil paint on canvas
Dimensions: Framed 120 x 120 cm
Location: Oliva, Valencia, Spain

Defining Moment II developed through a process of layering, removal and gradual revelation. The two panels form one continuous field, but each carries a different tension. The left is more open and atmospheric, with elongated drips, pale passages and fragmented forms that suggest memory, landscape and emerging presences. The right is denser and more structural, dominated by black forms that can be read as architecture, machinery, body or signal. The work remains deliberately unresolved. Figures and structures appear, disappear and change identity depending on how long the viewer remains with the painting. Rather than illustrating a single event, Defining Moment II captures the moment when different realities begin to coexist, when fragments that once seemed unrelated suddenly form part of the same world. The diptych is not a division, but a conversation between two states of the same image.
